Forey T. Frenzel: In Our Hearts, On Our Minds

Last night, November 1, 2013,  was Senior Night at Navasota High School.  Whether they are on the football team, in the band, part of the cheer squad or the Diamonettes, it was the last time that the Class of 2014 would get to perform at Rattler Stadium.

I didn’t know this until the pregame, but one student was missing (at least physically) from the festivities–Forey T. Frenzel.  Forey was killed in an ATV accident in August 2008, at the age of 12.  Thursday, October 31, would have been his 18th birthday.  (For more information, click here.

When the senior members led the team out onto the field, they were joined by Forey’s sister Fallon, wearing #99 in honor of Forey.

As the seniors were recognized, Fallon and her parents were included in the ceremony. There weren’t many dry eyes on the field.
